I remembered this post from six years ago, and thought it would be good to have a post like it on HN today. It's especially important to call important people in your life today with the pandemic, both for the caller and the person (or people) being called. It may also be worth setting up a Zoom (or Jitsi Meet, or Google Hangouts, or Facebook, or another group video call service) gathering. I joined one for my little brother's birthday late last month, and it was really good for feeling connected. https://ift.tt/RCxrJ0
